NUR 2210 - Nursing IV


10 Credits

In Nursing 2210, students continue to use clinical judgment and the nursing process in providing care to clients with increasingly complex and/or critical problems. Students will review and expand on concepts related to Clinical Judgment, Professionalism, Safety & Quality, Care Coordination, Communication, Elimination, Tissue Integrity, Infection, Gas Exchange, Perfusion, Sensory, and Mobility. The student also focuses on concepts related to promotion of wellness and prevention of illness. A management rotation is also incorporated to prepare the student for his/her transition into nursing practice. Clinical areas include hospitals, clinics, community agencies, schools, and college simulation/skills laboratories.

At successful completion of this course and upon meeting all other graduation requirements, the student is eligible to apply to the Mississippi Board of Nursing to write the NCLEX RN®.
