BIO 1114 - Principles of Biology I, Lecture and Laboratory 4 Credits
A combined lecture and laboratory course for non-science majors that provides an introduction to the basic principles of modern biology and their relevance to modern life. Emphasis is placed on the nature and history of scientific thought, basic biological chemistry, cell biology, and genetics. Labs associated with this course contain experiments and exercises that reinforce the principles introduced in lecture classes.
